Contact Your Officials

Every number on this site describes decisions made by people you can email or call. Here is who they are and how to reach them, at both the City of Elmira and Chemung County — from their own official directories.

A short, specific email from a named constituent carries real weight. Include your name and street address, so they know you live in the city — and, for a councilmember, in their district. Stick to one topic. Say what you want them to do. Assume anything you send an elected official can become public.
Mayor & City Council
Councilmembers are elected by district. Not sure which district you live in? Ask the City Clerk (607-737-5673) or check your voter registration card. City Hall main line for all offices: 607-737-5644.
